Jude Vander Kelen

Jude was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic lymphoma, an aggressive and fast-growing form of blood cancer, after what first seemed like a simple bump on his neck. Within just two days of visiting his pediatrician, he was hospitalized and given a diagnosis that would change everything.

From the very beginning, Jude has shown incredible strength—bravely completing his first 25-day cycle of treatment in the hospital. Not long after his second round of chemotherapy, he faced another life-threatening challenge when he developed VOD, a serious liver complication, along with two additional infections. He spent over a month in the hospital fighting through it all with remarkable courage and resilience.

Today, Jude continues forward with his treatment, taking each step with determination and strength. 💛

Jude is the proud big brother to three siblings—Finley (6) and his 20-month-old twin sisters, Abigail and Estella—who all look up to him as their hero. He is kind, smart, and naturally funny, with a personality that brings light to everyone around him.

When he’s not in treatment, Jude loves playing his guitar, coding his own video games, and listening to 90s and early 2000s nu metal. He has a passion for computer science and dreams of using his talents one day to make the world a better place.

Through everything he has faced, Jude continues to inspire with his strength, his heart, and his unwavering spirit. 💛
