Jaxson Cress
Jaxson is getting ready to celebrate his 10th birthday at the end of May, and his story is one of courage and heart. He’s been bravely battling leukemia since he was just 3 years old. This is now his third fight, but if you were to meet him, you’d never know cancer had touched his life. Jaxson is full of energy, joy, and an incredible love for all things sports.
He’s a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, Sporting KC, and pretty much everything Kansas City. Last year, Jaxson was featured in several NFL commercials, including one with Patrick Mahomes and another with Jamaal Charles. Just this past Monday, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso gave Jaxson his signature sunglasses and a big hug after his match. They even have a video chat scheduled for this coming Monday, with a special surprise planned. Jaxson is beyond excited.
One of the most remarkable things about Jaxson is his heart for others. He’s helped host large gala events in the Joplin area to raise funds for childhood cancer foundations, and he regularly volunteers on Red Fridays, selling flags to support the Ronald McDonald House. Giving back is something he truly loves. God gave him a huge heart for such a little guy.
