We’re in our 18th year of raising funds for local kids battling cancer—and for the second year, we’re also honoring a parent in the fight.

With the continued generosity of Kent and Missy McCarthy, and with help from Kevin and KJ Adams, we’re proud to bring back the Yvonne Adams Legacy Fund—honoring one of the most courageous cancer fighters Jayhawk Nation has ever known.

If you know a local parent who is working tirelessly to raise their family while also battling cancer, we invite you to nominate them. This recognition is about honoring their strength, their resilience, and the love they show every day in the face of an incredibly difficult fight.

One honoree will be selected to receive $25,000 in support and will be recognized during the 2026 Rock Chalk Roundball Classic weekend.

With the help of the Adams family, we’ll choose someone who reflects the same grace, determination, and courage that Yvonne showed throughout her life.
